In more than 1000 studies involving more than millions children and adults – optimistic people were shown to be less frequently depressed, more successful in school and jobs and, surprisingly, even more physically healthier than pessimistic people.

Optimism is a skill than can be learned very well by kids. It’s an antidote for underachievement.We develop optimism in them through various reel life scenarios, games, some brain storming activities etc. in manner which is appropriate for their age.

1. My special gifts and talents - Everyone has something they do well. It may be in a sport, or playing a musical instrument or even a person may be good at making friends. See if your kids will find out own gifts or talents. It’s better to allow them to explore themselves, rather then we as a parents tell them.

2. Let a smile be your umbrella – Just like an umbrella protects you from the rain, a smile can protect you from feeling unhappy. This short game will help children to explore how to use smile as a defense tool.
